Tony Iommi: 'We'll see you on the next tour'

BLACK SABBATH star TONY IOMMI has given fans new hope that the reunited heavy rockers will be rocking on after revealing there are plans afoot to tour again. Iommi, who has been battling cancer since 2012, recently hinted that the band's 4 July (14) gig in London's Hyde Park would be his last with Ozzy Osbourne and Geezer Butler, but in a new video message to fans, filmed on the eve of the show, the guitarist reveals the reunion might not be over just yet. The rocker says, "It's been great. We've had a laugh... Thanks so much. I am at home at the moment, about to leave for Hyde Park... and I'm really looking forward to that. The tour has been marvelous; we've had a great year, and you couldn't wish for better. "It's been phenomenal, and you've been phenomenal. And thanks for coming to the shows and being supportive. Thank you very much and we'll see you on the next tour." And it appears Ozzy is game to go on - after hearing Iommi's last remarks, he said, "If it's goodbye, we're ending it on a high note (at Hyde Park)... but I'm up for another album and tour. If we can, great. If not, I'll just carry on doing my own thing." The band's final farewell on Friday night featured Soundgarden and the reunited Faith No More as support acts.
