Amanda Bynes' marijuana possession case dismissed

Actress AMANDA BYNES is celebrating after all the charges relating to her marijuana possession arrest last year (13) were dismissed. The Hairspray star was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of marijuana and tampering with evidence when New York City police raided her apartment in May, 2013. During the incident, Bynes allegedly threw a bong out of the window. She was taken to the city's Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and then to a police station to be processed. In January (14), a judge ruled the case would be dismissed if the 28 year old agreed to get treatment and stay out of trouble for six months, and on Monday (30Jun14), Bynes' lawyer appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court to report the actress has complied with the conditions of the judge's ruling, and the case was formally dismissed and sealed. This is the latest legal victory for Bynes - in April (14), her driver's license was reissued after it was suspended when she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and hit-and-run charges in 2012. The actress appears to have turned her life around following a lengthy rehab stay last year (13).
