U.S. sports favorite Craig Sager battling leukemia

Beloved U.S. TV sports pundit CRAIG SAGER is battling acute leukemia, according to his son. The 62-year-old veteran sportscaster, famous for his colourful blazers and ties, has been a sideline regular for the biggest basketball games for the past two decades. Sager has also covered football, golf, baseball and horse racing. According to his son, also called Craig, the TV pundit has begun two to three weeks of treatment and will miss the NBA play-offs, which begin on Saturday (19Apr14). Basketball star Baron Davis was among the first to offer his thoughts via Twitter.com, writing, "sending prayers and positive energy to the great @TNT_CraigSager... You will be miss (sic) in these playoffs!!"
