An Atlanta judge put Allen Iverson in time out for his subpar parenting skills. Former Sixers great Iverson officially split from Tawanna Iverson a couple weeks ago, but TMZ has details on Iverson's custody agreement and the judge doesn't mince words when it comes to Iverson's parental history.
[Iverson] does not know how to manage the children; has little interest in learning to manage the children and has actually, at times, been a hindrance to their spiritual and emotional growth and development.
For example, he has refused to attend to an obvious and serious alcohol problem, which has caused him to do inappropriate things in the presence of the children while impaired. He has left the children alone without supervision.
He has left his young daughters in a hotel room with men who are unknown to the mother.
Tawanna has full custody of the kiddies, while Iverson has visitation rights, although he has to abide by strict rules, including abstaining for alochol for 18 months (after the period is over, he can't drink for 24 hours of seeing his kids), attending AA meetings and seeing a shrink.
Tawanna and Allen have five children together and had been married since 2001.
Recently, Iverson has sought to rejoin the Sixers, but Bob Cooney thinks that Iverson should keep his memory intact, but remaining a memory.

False. I find it hilarious that you and your hick buddies from Virginny are still harping on that incident (sans proof) decades later. If our potential value as human beings was based on agenda-having hayseeds' accusations, we'd all be in trouble. Meanwhile, the guy has endured a monumental public fall from grace. At least criticize him for any number of poor choices he's proven to have made. And, really, folks who take pleasure in kicking the guy when he's down, people who feel vindicated as a result of his sorry station in life, you are a sad lot. What does that say about you? Meanwhile, even at this self-inflicted nadir, he enjoys global popularity. He's achieved so much with so little (physically and developmentally), more than you'll achieve in ten lifetimes. You had the advantages and avoided the ghetto pitfalls. What do you have to show for it? It must be a spectacular set of achievements given the pride you exhibit by mocking another's misfortune (even if it is, as I said, self-inflicted misfortune). Can't help but wonder if it's jealousy at the adulation Iverson received despite his failings as a person. Makes you feel small and inconsequential, right?, 'cause you've "always done the right thing" and what do you have to show for it? Maybe your bitterness and lack of empathy are to blame for your lack of achievement. Maybe that's held you back. Millions of people worldwide rooted and root for Iverson. If he turns out to be a cretin, what have we really lost? I'd rather put my hope in other people and be disappointed than predict and celebrate their inevitable failures. Doing the latter makes you a sad, humorless, bitter person with a lot to learn.

Oh yea, because he is a top notch citizen.....Oh those were only felony charges for trespassing and carrying an unlicensed gun. This guy should have been given the favor to not have allowed his celebrity to excuse his self-destructive behaviors before he even got to college. Now his poor kids will have to suffer watching their dad's downward spiral.....
