The One Book, One Jewish Community reading/education/community outreach program has chosen TV journalist Martin Fletcher’s novel, The List as its 2011-2012 book selection. Set in the months after WWII, the story follows an Austrian Jewish couple who move to an unfriendly London as refugees and try to locate their relatives who have been liquidated by the Nazis or scattered around Europe.

Fletcher is a Special Correspondent with NBC News with five Emmy Awards under his belt. He was formerly NBC’s Middle East correspondent and Tel Aviv Bureau Chief.

He will launch One Book One Jewish Community with a reading from his book on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. at Congregation Beth Or, 239 Welsh Road in Maple Glen.

See more info about the book on Amazon’s One Book One Jewish Community Book site. Register here for a seat at the Oct. 30 book event.
