On Saturday, August 17 the third annual Philadelphia Geek Awards were held at the Academy of the Natural Sciences of Drexel University to honor the greatest geeks of the Philadelphia region.

On Saturday, August 17 the third annual Philadelphia Geek Awards were held at the Academy of the Natural Sciences of Drexel University to honor the greatest geeks of the Philadelphia region. From local game developers to comic book artists, social media marketers to the arts & culture community, the awards highlighted a bit of everything.

The black tie affair hosted more than 300 guests who enjoyed an evening of cocktails and an entertaining award ceremony.

Here are this year's winners:

Geek Story of the Year — Pong on the Circa Centre

Hacker of the Year — Dr. Frank Lee
Social Media Campaign of the Year — #GunCrisis
Visual Artist of the Year — Braille Street Art
Scientist of the Year — Kimberlee Sue Moran
Comic Creator of the Year — Andrew Goletz
Indie Game of the Year — Perfection
Web Project of the Year — AxisPhilly
Mobile App of the Year — BizVizz
Event of the Year — Open Air Philadelphia
Feature Length Indie Film of the Year — Backyard Philly Project
Viral Project of the Year — We are Never Ever Going to Win with Andy
