When you head down to your polling place on Tuesday, don't be surprised if Election Day looks a little spiffier — or the signs telling you it's Election Day do, at least.
Next Stop: Democracy, an organization focused using art to improve civic spaces, is back for a third year, and this time, they've teamed up with local artists to beautify our polling places.
The goal, according to a release from NSD, is to use "creative signage [to] transform Election Day from something mundane into something more fun." As a result, organizers hope to determine if public art can help voter engagement rates.
