Ted Dwane, bassist of Grammy-winning, folk-rock band Mumford & Sons successfully underwent surgery this week to treat a blood clot near his brain.
Dwane posted a post-operation photo on the band’s official website on Monday with the caption: “Bear with a sore head! Thanks so much for all the well wishing, it seems to be working! I’m home.” He is said to make a full recovery and will join his bandmates for future performances.
Mumford & Sons canceled several shows because of Dwane’s surgery, including a headlining appearance at Bonnaroo music festival. Singer Jack Johnson replaced the “I Will Wait” band in the festival lineup.
The group plans on rescheduling the canceled performances, but there is no word yet on the new dates.
