TMZ reports that R&B singer Miguel was arrested early Thursday morning at 2:15 a.m. in L.A. for drunk driving.

The “Adorn” singer was flagged down by highway patrol officials; initially for speeding and for having tinted windows. When officers approached the vehicle to talk with Miguel, they noticed that he smelled an awful lot like alcohol.  They performed sobriety tests on him and he failed, miserably.

According to reports, a breathalyzer test revealed that Miguel blew a .11 over the .08 legal limit in California. The singer was then arrested for a DUI, taken to a local station and was later released on bail for $5,000. He is scheduled to attend court in September.

Miguel’s camp has yet to make a comment.

Miguel will perform at the 2013 Budweiser Made in America Festival in Philadelphia.
