Marilyn Russell, former host of Mornings with Marilyn on 95.7 BEN-FM, is moving on to another morning gig, this time with 98.1 WOGL, the CBS-owned station.
Russell will join WOGL's Breakfast Club from 5:30 to 9 a.m. starting Monday. She will co-host alongside WOGL morning hosts Frank Lewis and Bill Zimpfer.

“I feel as though someone is going to pinch me and I’ll wake up from a dream,” Russell said via a release. “To be asked to join 98.1 WOGL, a station with such great heritage in Philly, is something completely mind-blowing.”
The morning radio host began her Philadelphia radio career back in 1993 at WDRE-FM (103.9) before moving on to co-host mornings at Y100 with Preston Elliot and Steve Morrison in 1998. Russell headed to Greater Media Inc. in 2003, where she hosted on WMGK, and later joined 95.7 BEN-FM full-time in 2007 as a morning host.
Russell was laid off from 95.7 BEN-FM in early November 2016 after 13 years at Greater Media Inc., which owned the station up until a $240 million deal with Beasley Broadcast Group came along in summer 2016. That deal also included the sale of stations including WMGK-FM (102.9), WPEN-FM (97.5), and WMMR-FM (93.3).
