Ambler native John Di Domenico impersonates Donald Trump for big bucks

Ambler native John Di Domenico added Donald Trump to his repertoire of celebrity impressions back in 2004, when Trump started firing people on The Apprentice.

Now that Trump is leading the Republican field in the race for the GOP nomination, the Daily Mail says Di Domenico’s act has become more popular than ever and he can now pull down $40,000 per month playing Trump.

Di Domenico graduated from Wissahickon High School and attended East Stroudsburg University before transferring and graduating from Temple. Perfect for an impressionist, his BA was in Speech Communications. After that he worked in advertising in Philly before performing at the Tropicana in Atlantic City and in Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding here in Philadelphia.

He’s done commercials, movies, TV (he played Howie Reinstein in the final season of The Sopranos) and now lives in Las Vegas. Di Domenico’s impressions include Austin Powers, Larry King, Jay Leno and many more, but at least until November, The Donald will trump them all.
