Rock radio station 93.3 WMMR-FM has added a full-time overnight DJ to its roster — the station’s first full-time hire in eight years, according to a release.
WMMR parent company Beasley Media Group on Tuesday announced the hiring of DJ Brent Porche as the station’s overnight on-air talent. Porche has more than a decade of experience on WMMR’s part-time weekend staff, and will be on the air from 12 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. during the week.
Porche replaces Jacky Bam Bam, who moved to the 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. shift on WMMR earlier this year. That move was prompted by DJ Matt Cord’s move to 95.7 BEN-FM, where he now hosts mornings alongside co-host Kristen Herrmann. Cord took over for Marilyn Russell, who was laid off at the station last year, but joined 98.1 WOGL in early January.
The Preston & Steve Show’s twitter account revealed Porche’s new position on social media Tuesday morning:

“It’s like a lifelong fan rooting for the Eagles and getting hired to play on the team,” Porche said via a release. “I’m honored to join reston & Steve, Pierre Robert, Jaxon, Jacky and all the DJs on such a legendary station.”
