Updatae on April 11 & 12 hearings

POSTED: Tuesday, April 2, 2013, 3:27 PM

It's going to be a looooong day on April 11, when the state's Gaming Control Board comes to the PA Convention Center to hear public comment on the six casino proposals for the city's second gaming license. The daytime slots from 9 a.m. til 5 p.m. already are filled, reports the gaming board. The line-up includes 37 individuals, two legislators and one government representative.

But the evening slots on April 11th, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., are still wide open. Only three community groups and four individuals have signaled an interest in addressing the seven commissioners.

April 12th is only two-thirds filled, with one legislator, six groups and 24 individuals slated to speak.

For information on the two-day public hearings or to sign up, visit the gaming board's website at: http://gamingcontrolboard.pa.gov.
