Some daytime talk-show hosts have to bring the drama in from outside, but Oprah Winfrey's past is the gift that just keeps on giving.
ABCNews.com reports that that the "bombshell family secret" Oprah's announcing on today's show (4 p.m., Channel 6) is a younger half-sister named Patricia whom her mother gave up for adoption in Milwaukee, Wis., in 1963, at a time when the future talk-show host was living with her father in Nashville, Tenn.
"I had no idea my mother was even pregnant." Oprah said, according to ABCNews.com, whose full report can be found here.

Let me get this straight.
Oprah is so proud and happy that the half-sister didn't exploit the relationship by selling it to the tabloids. Was she proud and happy that her half-sister had character, or that she saved the exploitation for her big sister to use for her TV network??
Who cares if she has a half sister? Does anyone know how many siblings David Letterman or Jay Leno has? I don't understand why anyone outside her immediate family would care about this.
