In the house: Tony Danza and Snooki

What's happening on the West Coast, where TV critics have once again invaded an unsuspecting hotel -- this time it's the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, and are grilling actors, producers and the occasional network honcho:

With Tony Danza here later today to talk up his Philly-based "reality" series, "Teach: Tony Danza," A&E's announced a premiere date -- Oct. 1 -- for the series, which follows his experiences as a teacher of 10th grade English at Northeast High School.

Also expected to be on the panel is Northeast High principal Linda Carroll, who, in the screener I watched last night, seemed determined to hold Danza to the same standards of any other new teacher (everyone else was just trying to get him to stop talking quite so much).

Oh, yeah, and the "Guidos" and "Guidettes" of MTV's "Jersey Shore" are also expected here later this afternoon, and all I can say is that I'm glad none of those people is talking about teaching high school in Our Town..
