Naomi Campbell: 'I'm on the mend'

Naomi Campbell fans can probably breathe easy. The supermodel, who was reportedly the victim of a violent mugging in Paris last November, appeared before reporters at the Television Critics Associations winter meetings in Pasadena, Calif., Monday morning, looking none the worse for the experience. "I had an injury to my knee and I'm on the mend,” said Campbell, who added that she “couldn't discuss it further” because the incident's under investigation.

The supermodel, who was reportedly the victim of a violent mugging in Paris last November, appeared before reporters at the Television Critics Associations winter meetings in Pasadena, Calif., Monday morning, looking none the worse for the experience.

"I had an injury to my knee and I'm on the mend," said Campbell, who added that she "couldn't discuss it further" because the incident's under investigation.

Campbell's in Pasadena to promote her new Oxygen show, "The Face," for which she's both executive producer and "supermodel coach."

Dressed head to toe in white, Campbell was wearing flat sandals, but, hey, she's tall. "I'm 5 91/2 and when I started modeling, that was considered tall," Campbell told a reporter who'd wondered just how tall. Now, she acknowledged, there are plenty of models taller, including her fellow coaches, Karolina Kurkova and Coco Rocha.

"I felt extremely responsible for Team Naomi" both on and off camera, said Campbell, who belying her tough reputation, is shown in tears in a clip in which one contestant reacts sadly to being rejected by the panel.

"The Face" premieres at 9 p.m. Feb. 12.
