'South Park' creators re-up through 2016

Homer Simpson could have told us this: The secret to eternal life is to be a cartoon character. And it’s not just “The Simpsons.” Apparently you can’t really kill Kenny, either. “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have just re-upped with Comedy Central, guaranteeing that their animated series will run for at least three more seasons — bringing it to its 20th in 2016. (Maybe by then I’ll be able to get tickets to their musical “The Book of Mormon” through the half-price ticket office on Times Square?) According to Comedy Central, “Parker and Stone will continue to write, direct and edit every episode of ‘South Park,’ as they have since the premiere of the series in 1997.”
