Fashion stylist Anthony Henderson deserves a shout out for once again pulling off another successful 17 Days…of Fashion.

The third-annual event, which takes place each August, includes more than two weeks of back-to-back activities to raise money for local charities while also showcasing up-and-coming designers, event promoters and other creative types.

Dressbarn organized a shopping night out and donated a couple of outfits to the Career Wardrobe. Tracy Lynn Fashion Jewelry gave away 100 pieces for the Career Wardrobe and Lifestyles Hair Salon at 22nd and Indiana streets provided free back-to-school hair styling for female students.

Yo, Jay Z, can we get an encore?

The city’s still on a high over last weekend’s Budweiser Made in America Festival.

Yeah, the official numbers are still out, and we don’t know yet what the overall economic impact on Philly is. But  the city was buzzing over the weekend as nearly 100,000 ticket holders descended upon the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

About this blog
What’s up, everyone? Welcome. Let's discuss whatever's on our minds - pop culture, relationships, politics, even the latest fashion trend. If you read my Daily News column, you know I like to mix it up: One day, it's the state of hip hop and the next, the latest political race. Also, it's always fun to try to figure out the opposite sex and check the latest trends. It’s all about learning from each other, exchanging ideas and hopefully making some changes for the better. Nothing is off limits - just keep it clean and civil.
