Would you want a shoe by Kanye West? And would you want it enough to stand in line for it likes some folks are?

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The new Nike shoe designed by hip-hop
musician Kanye West doesn’t go on sale until Saturday in
Philadelphia — but people are already lining up for it.
About a dozen people were camping out near the Ubiq (YOO’-bik)
store downtown Thursday morning for a chance to buy the $300 pair
of sneakers. The line is expected to grow over the next day.
West’s shoe, called the Air Yeezy, is a black-on-black high-top
with pink trim. It’s the second of three Air Yeezy color schemes
being released by Nike. A gray version came out in April; the final
color will be released in June.
Last year, dozens of self-described “sneakerheads” camped out
for the Nikes designed by Ahmir “?uestlove” Thompson, drummer of
the Philadelphia band The Roots.

What’s up, everyone? Welcome. Let's discuss whatever's on our minds - pop culture, relationships, politics, even the latest fashion trend. If you read my Daily News column, you know I like to mix it up: One day, it's the state of hip hop and the next, the latest political race. Also, it's always fun to try to figure out the opposite sex and check the latest trends. It’s all about learning from each other, exchanging ideas and hopefully making some changes for the better. Nothing is off limits - just keep it clean and civil.
