Yes, that’s Nicholas “Sixx” King, a black man, dressed in a KKK costume. You may have seen him around town before. Maybe even Thursday on the Drudge Report. A 2010 Daily News Sexy Single, he's infamous for photo bombing the 2003 Grammy Awards.

A self-styled relationship expert, he has written a relationship book that he published himself and also blogged a bit on the topic for Essence magazine.

His latest project is a documentary about gun violence called “Mothers of No Tomorrow.”

King's point is that comparatively speaking, African Americans have murdered more blacks than the Ku Klux Klan did.

I have a column in the works about King scheduled to run in the Daily News next week in which I’ll find out what’s next for this local provocateur.

Meanwhile, his get-up was intended to shine a spotlight on black on black violence. What do you think of the point he’s making? Is it a valid one? Or do you think his shock tactics obfuscated his point?

oh yeah once again open up for comments when African Americans are involved. Look at the pattern. What a joke. Your disclaimer is a joke and you know it. comments are intended to be civil, friendly conversation. Just do us all a favor and be honest.

Wonder what would happen if a white man dressed up as a Black Panther??? Leftist media would label him a racist....Hypocrisy knows no bounds. (HTML deleted)

I'm sure, judging by your endless comments, that you are not right leaning. You are correct though, philly.com does lean left. Perhaps you should stick to the unbiased FOX news.

I think he made a tremendously important point. Further, his so called "shock tactics" worked. He did something few Philly "leaders" bothered doing. He stated publically that the murder of African Americans by African Americans is a massive problem in the US. In 2011, Philly had one of the highest murder rates in the nation and about 85% of the victims were black. This is an epidemic. Only an Inqy editorial addressed this. In addition to talking about Strom Thurmand's daughter, let's talk about the murder rate.

He has a very valid point that Lefty's won't touch with a 10 foot pole. It doesn't fit their agenda to punish law abiding gun owners you see. maybe he can get some face time with our drunken VP next week?

So what is it that he's saying, that if white people were responsible for the killing of blacks it would somehow be acceptable ? Or maybe if African Americans confined their killing to only that of white people, then this would be tolerable?? He avoids the issue of valuing life completely.
    Killing, is just wrong...Period

yea um...the article is about a KKK picture.....is the KKK pic supposed to be him in white with white pillows? even WITH the pic the article is questionable. without anything showing him in a KKK pic the article is pointless.

I think the point he's trying to make is that when gun violence makes headlines, then everyone pays attention and talks about it, but in reality, there's more gun violence every day in this country that people are fine ignoring. And he's right. I'm sure the usual commenters on this site don't care about black people shooting other black people in the hood, but when white people are killed in random acts of violence, then it's oh so horrible.

I think with the commenters it's more of a disgust that blacks shooting blacks aren't cared about by blacks. "No snitching" and all that. Where is Sharpton and Jackson for these shootings? Nowhere. White shoots a black, they're all over it. Isn't that a commentary on their supposed "leadership?"

About this blog
What’s up, everyone? Welcome. Let's discuss whatever's on our minds - pop culture, relationships, politics, even the latest fashion trend. If you read my Daily News column, you know I like to mix it up: One day, it's the state of hip hop and the next, the latest political race. Also, it's always fun to try to figure out the opposite sex and check the latest trends. It’s all about learning from each other, exchanging ideas and hopefully making some changes for the better. Nothing is off limits - just keep it clean and civil.
