Vince Young allowed today that "it's been tough" adjusting to a backup role the past few months, but he said he has worked hard "behind the scenes" to get comfortable in the Eagles' offense.
Young and Mike Kafka said they split reps with the first team at today's practice, the team portion of which was not open to the media. The sense in the locker room seemed to be that Young is most likely to start against the Giants if two broken ribs keep Michael Vick out of the game.
Vick did not practice today, though he was on the field with the other two quarterbacks during individual drills, when reporters are allowed to observe.
Young said he is "getting better and better each day" through studying, though when Vick is healthy, Young's practice reps are extremely limited. 'Overall, (quarterbacks coach) Doug Pederson and Mike (Vick) and Mike Kafka do a great job of making sure I know the plays and saying them and things like that."
