Yes, Ha Ha Clinton Dix has heard that joke

The top-rated safety in the upcoming NFL draft got his nickname as a toddler, before it evoked unfortunate images involving a former president.

INDIANAPOLIS -- His name is HaSean Clinton-Dix, but when he was about three years old, a grandmother started calling him "Ha Ha," which seemed rather harmless at the time.

The nickname stuck to the man who is now widely considered the top safety available in the upcoming NFL draft. At Clinton-Dix's NFL Scouting Combine media session Sunday, he was asked what the toughest part of having such an unusual name might be.

"The whole President Clinton thing, the Monica Lewinsky," Clinton-Dix said. "I didn't know too much about that."

Now he does.

Clinton-Dix, from Alabama, said he thinks having played in Nick Saban's sophisticated, pro-style defense gives him an advantage. He said he thinks he might be faster than the other first-round-rated safety, Louisville's Calvin Pryor, but "I can't say I can hit like him."

Arizona running back Ka'Deem Carey grew up in Tucson, but is an Eagles fan, for some reason. Asked this weekend what current running backs he would compare with, Carey said: "I’d say a mix between Adrian Peterson and LeSean McCoy. Adrian Peterson runs hard and LeSean McCoy has the shakes in the open field to break a safety down."

Carey then volunteered: “My (favorite) running back is Brian Westbrook because he catches, he blocks. He does it all.”

Asked if he is looking forward to meeting any of the coaches, Carey said: “Definitely coach Andy Reid. He is the best coach ever. Once I get to see him, shake his hand and sit in a meeting with him, everything is going to be all gravy. I was a big Eagles fan growing up. I loved the way he did everything with Brian Westbrook. I just love the way he coaches."

 Hey, don't we all?
