Chaney mentioned that teams get better when they get comfortable playing with each other, and that it takes time. This brings into light the glaring problem with the coaching choice to constantly rotate the players to keep them fresh. If they have four groups they rotate, then the players only get one quarter the playing time, then the flow and comfort level takes four times as long to develop. Does any other NFL team use wide nine? These are coaching choices which are hurting the teams and keeping it from coming together.

The entire team possesses potential. That's why Reid must go now. Bring in a real NFL who can tweak the roster and make it happen.

And i have the “potential” to win the lottery!
All LB’s and the coordinator need to be replaced as soon as the season is over.
Start with Juan..... No brainer,,, then work your way up..
Keep Reid? Fine but have someone with even the smallest brain pick a decent GM who knows the importance of LB’s!!!
Think about it for a second... say it out loud! LINEBACKERS!!! They back up the line,, you know the line that plays a “WIDE 9” it’s great for rushing the passers but exposes the LB”S!!! HELLO!! IT EXPOSES THE LB’S! You know,, the onetime starting 4th rd rookie named MATTHEW’S! And next to him some 7th rounder’s...
LINEBACKERS!!!! LINEBACKERS!!!! LINEBACKERS!!!! Oh and please, please, please bring in a defensive coordinator! Really,, this novelty (Juan) has gotten scary bad now...

Chris Gocong made 4 straight monster goal line tackles against the vaunted steelers rushing offense last night. Perhaps gave up on him a bit quick.

It's not so much gave up on them as they (the Eagles coaching staff) don't know how to draft talent (teaching corrct technique, fundamentals) or how to correctly use a players talents. That's why when players leave here and are handled by REAL coaches, they tend to excel more often than not. Reid is nothing more than a quarterbacks coach which is where he should be.

i would fire the linebacker coach and Juan, and the GM Howie Rosman... keep Reid for one more year after that DONE!... hire a good Defensive Coordinator and a good Linebacker Coach n a better GM who knows what we need...cut.... Akeem Jordan, Moise Fokou, there not fearing linebackers lil small to be linebackers... i would keep Jamar Chaney and Brian Rolle n Casey Matthews havent seen much of Greg Little or Keenan Clayton.... i see a 8-8 standings with the Eagles hopefully well b awarded with the number 10 draft pick in the first round but you know Andy prob aint guna draft a Linebacker....

what the eagles should do is trade vick and get whatever picks they can for him then send a nice 2nd round draft pick to the colts for p. manning so we can have a qb that knows mudds system and can see over the oline. then we should hire a quality dc so this defense knows actually what the hell to do. we should draft a lb and a safety in our first 2 rounds and then get some other lineman and lbs in the draft. we should resign desean jackson to a nice contract so we can have the best wrs in the league again! that will make us fight for a championship next year!

You arethe reason that real fans hate these boards. Do you really think that the going rate for Manning is a 2nd rd draft choice? Did you not see what the Raiders paid for a guy with 30% of Mannings talent and accomplishments in Carson Palmer? Try bidding starts at (2) 1st Rd picks, (1) 2nd and (1)Fourth

If a team is willing to part with a 2nd-round selection and a starting cornerback for Baby-Arm Kolb, what makes you think can be had for a 2nd rounder?

Granted the league is starving for QBs. So, somebody would certainly take a flyer on him. However, despite the fact that his career is probably over, he'd still get two No. 1s and a player or two.
