What to watch in opener

The Eagles begin the preseason Friday night at Pittsburgh. Here are three things to watch out for  ...

1. DeSean Jackson returning punts and Lorenzo Booker returning kicks. It would be nice to get an early read on how well the Eagles have fixed one of their most irritating problem areas from last season.

2. Stewart Bradley at middle linebacker. Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson said the main thing he wants to see is how Bradley makes the calls. He only played in two games at linebacker last season as a a rookie.

3. The four defensive end front in the nickel defense. This is something the Eagles tried a little bit last season, but they seem much more committed to in training camp. They think it could give them the inside pass rush that they often lacked last season.
