First, there was talk that Donovan McNabb was trying to lobby the Washington Redskins into bringing in Terrell Owens -- talk that McNabb denied.
Now, McNabb has reportedly made the case for Brian Westbrook, with Westbrook scheduled to visit Redskins Park on Wednesday, sources told ESPN.com.
The Redskins' level of interest in unclear, but discussions have been ongoing, according to the report. Washington already has brought in Larry Johnson and Willie Parker this offseason and has Clinton Portis on the roster.
Westbrook, released by the Eagles before the start of free agency, visited the St. Louis Rams during the NFL draft and passed a physical. Westbrook is familiar with the Rams' offense, coordinated by former Eagles assistant Pat Shurmur, but given his history of knee and ankle injuries, playing on turf might not be the best fit.
