ST. LOUIS -- Eagles opening day inactives are out and they include the first-, second-, and third-round draft picks, perhaps a reflection of the toll of the 136-day NFL lockout.

Guard Danny Watkins, safety Jaiquawn Jarrett and corner Curtis Marsh will not be in uniform today when the Eagles face the host St. Louis Rams.

The Eagles have six rookies active today, none was chosen above the fourth round.

Also inactive are quarterback Vince Young, who has a hamstring injury, rookie guard Julian Vandervelde, tackle Winston Justice, and defensive end Phillip Hunt.

As expected, wideout Steve Smith is active. The Eagles elected to activate a 46th player other than Young, now that the third quarterback spot is fully active. If Michael Vick and Mike Kafka have to leave the game, presumably the team's fate wiill be in the hands of WR Jason Avant, the emergency QB.

All six ex-Eagles are active for the Rams: QB A.J. Feeley, WR Brandon Gibson, WR Danny Amendola, S Quintin Mikell, TE Stephen Spach and CB Al Harris.

The Rams' first and third round picks also are inactive.

Young is jogging around on the field and tossing a football, even though he's inactive.

Stay turned for more.
