Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was named Comeback Player of the Year by The Sporting News.

The publication surveyed 617 NFL players, coaches and executives to determine the awards and all-pro team.

"Wow ... what a year, then this. God is great ... I'm thankful for all the people in my life who made this possible," Vick wrote on Twitter. "They know who they are."

Cornerback Asante Samuel and kicker David Akers were named to the all-pro team.

New England quarterback Tom Brady was named the Offensive Player of the Year and Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews was  named the top defensive player.

Atlanta won the two coaching awards -- Coach of the Year Mike Smith and Coordinator of the Year Mike Mularkey, the team's offensive coordinator.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh earned Rookie of the Year honors.
