Vick out; other injury updates

POSTED: Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 11:31 AM

Quarterback Michael Vick and wide receiver Jeremy Maclin have been ruled out of Thursday's game against Seattle.

Vince Young will make his third consecutive start at quarterback while Vick is sidelined by broken ribs. Vick threw on the side yesterday, but has not participated in practice.

Maclin, who has shoulder and hamstring injuries, has not practiced. Coach Andy Reid said the hamstring was a bigger concern.

The Eagles list cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (knee) and LeSean McCoy (toe) as questionable, although McCoy is expected to play. He was liststed as a limited participant in practice all week.

Asomugha was limited yesterday and today after not taking part in Monday's walkthrough. He is expected to be a game-time decision.

Defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins (thumb) is listed as probable.

Also out are tackle King Dunlap (concussion) and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle). Dunlap has yet to pass his baseline testing.

The players who are out will not make the trip to Seattle.

Mike Mayock says Andy Reid should remain the Eagles coach. Read more here.

You know the Eagles will win as that will hurt the most. No payoffs - crappy draft pick (not that that matters the way they pick)

doesn't matter, marshawn lynch is going to have a field day tomorrow night. we'll see how comfortable Tavaris Jackson looks against this team. this will be a close and ugly game. 16-13 Eagles, showing once again that they can beat a bad team.

All this team has to do is protect their QB and guard the other teams receivers. Two VERY BASIC things.

If we had a shot at being in the playoffs...or if he did not yet get his 100 million dollar contract...Would Vick be playing by now?? I so think he would be. He will nurse this to the bitter end and try to save face, he does not want to be associated with this years failure when going back to the end of last year it MUST be. Give 7 the job over Kolb...give him 100 mill when there is no way ever this guy will last a full season. Why on earth did Reid do it. Hopefully this year costs them both their jobs.

Don't fret Realiztic, Vick is gone after next year and he'll only see abou 45 million of all goes well for him and he owed about 28 million of that 45 to creditors. Still much richer than I am for certain, but trust me they are using him like a red headed step child. Andy Reid is only about 33% of the problem, the other 66% of the problem is upstairs in the front office and about 1% is on the players who are what they are.

We are led to believe that Reid makes the decisions on personnel, but does an NFL coach really believe he can have a good defense when all his linebackers are 5 thru 7th round draft picks? (Matthews was a 4th but that is exception) They have passed on quite a few defensive players who are turning out to be pretty good in the NFL.. there is no ring for winning the "best salary cap management" They are going to go high in the draft but does anyone have faith that this crew is going to do a good job with it??
