* Reid said the Eagles are a "real good football team" if they don't committ turnovers and penalties. "I don't think people are stopping us. We're stopping oursleves. We have to take care of that. That's what we can control." Reid said the turnovers and penalties but the Eagles again, "whether he agrees with the [penalties] or not." He said the fake punt should be included in the turnovers.

* Reid continued to express confidence in his team. "I've seen this football team play good football. We are going to get this right and continue to play good football." At another point, he said, "I know how good we can be. As coaches and players we need to make sure we can do this consistently. ... That's my responsibility to get this done."

* Defensively, Reid said the Eagles need to get off the field on third down and need to convert on offense on third down.

* Asked specifically about Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who will face his former team this week, Reid said, "He's working on it."

* Reid said the Eagles need to do a better job of putting DeSean Jackson in position to make play. He said Jackson was not open last night. Reid, asked about whether Jackson is playing not to get hurt, because of his contract situation, said, "I don't think so."

* Reid said Brandon Graham played well in his first action of the season. "I thought he did some good things," Reid said. "There’s a bit of rust he’s got to knock off, but he did some good things.”

The Eagles have signed tight end Brett Brackett to the practice squad. Brackett replaces TE Anthony Hill, who was signed by the Indianapolis Colts.

Brackett, a native of Lawrence, NJ, was signed as a rookie free agent by the Miami Dolphins in 2011 and spent time on Jacksonville’s practice squad. The 6-5, 246-pound Brackett played collegiately at Penn State, where he caught 39 passes for 525 yards and five touchdowns as a senior wide receiver in 2010.
