Michael Vick has a fractured right hand and will have a CT scan tomorrow, Eagles coach Andy Reid said.
He said the fracture was not displaced. “He continued to play,” Reid said.
Reid said he could not remember whether he knew if Vick’s hand was broken when he came back out and re-entered the game.
He said Vick broke his hand when he put it up to his head to protect against the pass rush.
Asked if he thought about going with Vince Young instead of Mike Kafka, Reid said, “I went with Kafka.”
With Kafka in the game, the Eagles dialed up a bomb, which was intercepted by Aaron Ross. Last week, Reid said he was too conservative when Kafka was in against Atlanta.
“I thought it was right thing to do,” Reid said. “That obviously is my responsibility right there. I have to make sure we call those in the right situation. I didn’t do it last week and should have. I did it this week and shouldn’t have. That’s how it works sometimes.”
In other injury news, Jeremy Maclin has a hamstring injury, Riley Cooper had a concussion, Brandon Hughes has a hamstring injury. Evan Mathis was not in the game late with cramps. Jason Kelce shifted to left guard and Jamaal Jackson was at center.
Overall, Reid said, in a very brief news conference, “We didn’t have enough big plays offensively and they had to many on us defensively. We have to go back over it and evaluate every situation and get better as a football team.”
Asked if there would be changes for next week, Reid said, “We’ll see.”
