Predictions on today's playoff games

Then, the Colts are a 6 1/2-point choice over the visiting Ravens at 8 p.m.

Bill Conlin: Ravens

Speculation about the Eagles' quarterback situation will continue until the team does something to resolve the situation.

Here, Jim Thomas, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch lays out a scenario where Michael Vick could end up with the Rams. The team had some interest in Vick last spring but did not pursue him.

Rams general manager Billy Devaney worked in Atlanta previously and was one of the people who visited Vick in prison. Also, Rams oach Steve Spagnuolo is close with Eagles coach Andy Reid, who has spoken glowingly about Vick's season in Philly.

Writes Thomas: "By all accounts, Vick has said and done the right things in Philadelphia, where he was given a second chance by Reid. If not the Rams, it seems likely someone now will give Vick a chance to compete for a starting job in a league where top-flight quarterbacks remain a rare commodity. But even if it comes down to a pure football decision, does Vick still have what it takes to be a difference-maker in the NFL? That's what the Rams, or any other team, must decide."
