Plaxico continues campaign

Plaxico Burress was on a "The Carmen, Jurko & Harry Show" on ESPN 1000 in Chicago and termed the Bears as among his top three choices for where he will continue his career.

"Oh without question, without a doubt (the Bears are among his top three choices)," Burress said. "My decision making is going to come down to what I said, playing with an elite quarterback, playing with a running game, playing with a great tight end, and Greg Olsen is already that guy, in my estimation he'll be a Pro Bowler this season.

"That's the same situation I went into when I made my decision to go to New York (to play with the Giants), and it's a pretty similar situation."

He lauded quarterback Jay Cutler as a "phenomenal talent." He spoke glowingly about the Bears fans who have been showering him with attention on Twitter.

The Chicago Sun-Times then reports "that multiple sources have told the Sun-Times the team would be interested in the former New York Giants star only at a bargain price, if at all."

Burress gushed about the Jets and Houston during an NFL Network interview earlier this month. During an interview in Philadelphia, he termed playing with Michael Vick as a "dream come true" and called the Eagles situation "attractive."

Of course, teams cannot publicly comment on players until the lockout is over.

And it goes without saying that just because Burress is interested in a team does not mean the team is interested in him.
