No Vick, Jackson for Practice; Maclin Will Try
Eagles coach Andy Reid said today that Michael Vick (ribs) and DeSean Jackson (foot) will not practice today, as the Birds prepare for Sunday's meeting with the New England Patriots, but Jeremy Maclin (hamstring, shoulder) will try to participate.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said today that Michael Vick (ribs) and DeSean Jackson (foot) will not practice today, as the Birds prepare for Sunday's meeting with the New England Patriots, but Jeremy Maclin (hamstring, shoulder) will try to participate.
Officially, no determination has been made on Vick for this week, but Reid did not sound optimistic. He said Vick threw a little Tuesday and still felt hindered by the rib problem, suffered in the Eagles' loss to the Cardinals.
"He didn't do much. He can still feel it," Reid said. Reid indicated he does expect to have Jackson this week, saying that his foot is swollen but not broken.
Reid confirmed that Vince Young will take first-team quarterback practice reps, as expected.
Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is not practicing; DRC probably will miss at least a few more games with his high ankle sprain.
Also not practicing was offensive tackle King Dunlap, who said he is no longer suffering concussion symptoms, but hasn't passed the required testing.
Reid said the 7-3 Patriots "have probably the best talent we've faced this season."

- Vick's problems are ALL about getting clobbered early-on by unblocked pass rushers. Vick got 34 against Dallas when the blocking was good.
