News from Asante; Reid reacts

Within moments of the game ending, cornerback Asante Samuel took to Twitter with this message:
“I should have some good news these next coming days. Time to get to work!”
Meanwhile, in Chicago, the Eagles were among the best teams in the NFL at the start of the season in the red zone, but are now 2-for-10 in the last two games after a 31-26 loss to the Bears.
“We’ve got to make sure we score when we’re given an opportunity,” coach Andy Reid said. “There are going to be games when you don’t have a turnover, you have to keep battling and fighting … When you’re in the red zone you have to score touchdowns against a good team.”
Reid clearly was angry during his postgame press conference after the disappointing loss.
“There is a point where you have to do put your foot down as coaches and players,” Reid said. “That starts with me. I didn’t get it done on my end.”
On the quick turnaround: “We’ve got a Thursday game and we’ve got to learn from this quickly and get it out of our minds … We’ve got to get ourselves in the right frame of mind and go.”
On the defense: “It wasn’t the defense. It was both sides of the ball, it was coaching, it was special teams, it was my responsibility.”
On Michael Vick: “We all can better. He’s part of that. We all can do better.”
On the Bears’ defense: “Every first and second down in the second half, they brought extra pressure. It started in the second quarter. We need to do a little better job all around.”
On the absence of Asante Samuel: “Next guy that comes in, he’s got to play.”
On the decision to kick field goals late in the game: “I thought that was the right thing to do. I didn’t want to come out of there without the points.”
Also, the Eagles came out of the game with no injuries.

As usual, Andy's in-game ineptitude is exposed. Needed to go for it on 4th and goal from the 3. If we make it there it's potentially a different game.
McDermott and the D were outplanned and schooled. Tackling was embarassingly awful. This loss is all on the defense. troubledog

How about checking the field conditions and getting the right shoes? The corners slipped early and it cost the Eagles. P Even
Why do they huddle up after every play when they are down 3 scores. I would have liked to have that wasted time back at the end. Bad coaching, deja vu bobmc
The play calling inside the 15 yd. line continues to be an abortion. dixie1
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Having watched about 1,000 games since 1953, I certainly can't be upset for more than the 25 seconds it takes to turn the TV off. Games like this happen. Kind of expected an emotional letdown and an exposed secondary. Bear linebackers and Peppers are better than what we got on D. retzlaff
Moral of the story Eagles defense needs to play with the lead and even then at times it is suspect... Good news of the weekend Andre Johnson has to be suspended after that fight... Right??? t4e25
The tackling was terrible...Ca'mon man!!!!. As much as I like DeSean, I think he heard footsteps. I wish he had never saw that tape of himself getting knocked out. I gurantee you every team is going to do whatever they can to try and intimidate him and remind of that hit. Folks...I'm sorry to say it's mental and it's in his head. Elguapo50
