Mitts rooting for Feeley to join Patriots

Soccer star Heather Mitts is rooting for her fiancee, A.J. Feeley, to land with the New England Patriots.

Mitts plays for the Boston Breakers and would love to see Feeley land in the same town again. The two initially got together when Mitts played for the Philadelphia Charge, of the now defunct WUSA.

Feeley was cut by the Eagles on Sunday.

“I love Boston. If we can be in the same place, that would be ideal,” Mitts told the Boston Herald. “It’s a crazy time. We’re just trying to see what’s going to happen.”

Feeley, apparently, spent time in Boston this spring and summer, watching Mitts play for the Breakers.

“We’ll see where he ends up,” Mitts told the Herald. “Whatever works out best.”

What's ahead: The Eagles will add four more players to their practice squad today. The teams returns to the NovaCare for a 10-10-10 practice before beginning normal game week preparations. The players are off Tuesday and then resume practice for Carolina on Wednesday.
