McNabb to visit on Oct. 3

Donovan McNabb’s former team, the Eagles, will face his new team, the Washington Redskins, on Oct. 3 at the Linc, and on Nov. 15 on “Monday Night Football” at FedEx Field.

The Eagles open the season on Sunday, Sept. 12 at home against the Green Bay Packers at 4:15.

The Eagles have five prime-time games in 6 weeks, starting with the Nov. 15 game at Washington. The Birds play a Thursday night game on Dec. 2 at home against Houston.

The Eagles have the ninth-toughest schedule in the NFL, based on last year’s records. Their opponents have a winning percentage of .520 (133-123).

All four NFC East teams are in the top nine in strength of schedule rankings – the Cowboys are third (.543), the Giants are seventh (.527) and the Redskins are eighth (.523).

As for McNabb and the Redskins, they will play the first Sunday night game on Sept. 12 against the visiting Dallas Cowboys.
