Maclin: 'Should Be All Right'
Les Bowen, Daily News Staff Writer
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin was carted off the field this afternoon, adding to a long line of injured Eagles players.
Maclin limped into the building to be examined. The team said he had a hyperextended left knee and was still being evaluated. The Eagles said a further update would be available tomorrow.
Later, Maclin left the fieldhouse saying he felt relieved.
"Hyperextended my knee a little bit," he said. "Should be all right, though."
Asked for a timetable, he said: "We'll see. Should be all right, though."
"It is (a relief)," he said, when prompted. "Nobody wants to experience anything that's season-ending or anything like that"
"I just kinda got stuck in the ground, man, my leg just kinda buckled on me a little bit."
Maclin had spoken to reporters about being sore after morning session.
The team cut short its practice following the injury.

One has to wonder if it's the training staff or equipment that's part of the problem. mikegdj- Do these guys work out at all during the summer? jpb
I would bet the house someone on defense thats a projected starter gets seriously hurt - with all these WRs and Oline guys getting it this last week we are destined for that kind of heartache with Jaxville game coming up on the 13th. Oh the life of an Eagles fan ...fun fun fun.. ConcreteCharlie
Conlin's article is spot on. I've heard others say it on the radio too. Too much hitting early on, and the team is all beat up when the season starts. We're looking at a 6-10 season already. farside37

Really starts to make you wonder if there's something they're doing -- or not doing -- in their offseason training regimen leading to all these injuries. Sheesh. jmk1512
