Among the strangest scenes at the Eagles' minicamp this weekend at NovaCare is seeing the two-stall locker suite of Brian Dawkins now occupied by newcomers Ellis Hobbs and Rashad Baker.
One of the lockers had been filed with numerous Wolverine figurines he had collected over the years, many gifts from Eagles fans. Eagles staffers carefully packed up three boxes worth of the figurines and mailed them to Dove Valley, the Broncos' practice facility in Englewood, Colo., where the Broncos are trying to find a spot for them.
The items are just one symbol of how Dawkins connected with Philly fans and now he will need to connect with Broncos fans.
"I kind of play with my emotions on my shoulders; I just like to have a good time," Dawkins told the Denver Post. "If I feel like dancing, I'm going to dance. If I feel like singing on the field, I'm going to sing on the field.
"I think the reason I connected with the Philly fans the way I connected with them is because at the end of the day, they knew that I gave everything I had on the football field, period."
Check back on Eagletarian later for more from the final day of Eagles' minicamp.
