Juqua Parker busted for pot possession

Eagles starting defensive end Juqua Parker was arrested in Bethlehem, Pa. last night less than five minutes from the team’s training camp site at Lehigh University.

Eagles starting defensive end Juqua Parker was arrested in Bethlehem, Pa. last night less than five minutes from the team’s training camp site at Lehigh University.

Around 12:30 a.m., police stopped a vehicle in which Parker was the passenger for a traffic violation and discovered that Parker was in possession of a small amount of marijuana, according a release from the Lower Saucon Township Police Department.

After his arrest, Parker, 31, who became an Eagle in 2005, was arraigned at the township’s Central Booking Center and held at Northampton County Prison on $1,000 cash bail.

Parker was released on bail around 5:30 a.m., according to a prison administrator.

 

 

Parker was not scheduled to practice this morning because his a member of the Eagles' 30 Club, where players who are 30 and over get every third day off.

Andy Reid declined to comment at his news conference this morning but said the players had a 1 am curfew.
