Interest in Kevin Jones?

Should the Eagles have interest in Kevin Jones?

Interest in Kevin Jones?

Kevin Jones will work out for NFL scouts next week in hopes of returning to the league. The Cardinal O'Hara product was cut by Detroit in March after he hurt his knee late in the season. That injury required ACL surgery and followed missed time with a Lisfranc injury.

Jones told the Daily News shortly after he was cut that the Eagles were among the teams that had contacted his agent. Since then, of course, the Eagles have added Lorenzo Booker, which might take them out of the running for any additional help in the backfield. But perhaps it won't ...

A report in the Detroit Free Press lists the Eagles, New England, Chicago, Green Bay, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, Denver, Kansas City, Buffalo and the New York Jets as teams that have shown interest.

Jones had a workout yesterday and ran a 4.3 in the shuttle run. He also said he expects to take part in non-contact drills during training camp with whichever team signs him.

Here is more on his session from yesterday, courtesy of the Detroit Free Press.

Since we know Eagles fans have a fascination with Chad Johnson. Check out this interview with the Bengals Web site ... "I love you Cincinnati."

And for the Villanova football fans in crowd, here is a report from Atlanta about wide receiver Brian Finneran, who has struggled with injuries. You almost might remember that Finneran spent a brieft stint with the Eagles.
