Ingram returns to Eagles

The Eagles continued their roster shuffling of the last few days by signing tight end Cornelius Ingram to the practice squad.
Ingram was a fifth-round pick out of Florida by the Eagles in 2009 after missing his final season with the Gators because of a left knee injury. He then missed what would have been his rookie season after tearing the ACL in the same knee.
After aggressively rehabbing the knee, he returned last spring and took part in training camp and the preseason, although he missed time with a Baker's cyst on the back of his left knee and calf.
He was released in the final roster cutdown and was not signed by another team.
He has not played in a game -- college or pro -- other than the preseason since 2007.

Would be interesting to see if he can redeem himself. He showed a good bit of promise early on. I'm just afraid his legs won't stand up.— dlscholt

- Maybe he'll be a stay at home T/E, used for blocking and as a safety valve, whatever, apparently if he wants to risk walking with a limp the rest of his life, someone (Iggles) will be willing to let him try, just sayin'...— DJ
- DJ, he's not really a blocking tight end. He's more of a WR than TE. This could be a great depth move if he's healthy. I mean come on, whi is anyone upset, the dude is on a practice squad salary. Whats that, like 90k a year. A prorated portion of that has us paying the guy 45k. Thats nothing, no risk involved at all since its based on a weekly pay scale— BoredAtWork

Ingram is a real talent if healthy here's hoping for complete health. johnnyu- I dont think Celek's job is safe. He's beginning pull an LJ Smith on us. Ingram would be the real deal if he was ever healthy.— djack10
