The NFL free agency signing period begins Feb. 27, so there is plenty of time for strategy to be determined and plans to be drawn up. But, in the interest of keeping the football talk going, Eagletarian has decided to provide the list of the top free agents potentially available on offense, listed alphabetically.

The Eagles should have plenty of money to spend, if they choose to, although they also will have to commit some of that to re-signing some of their current free agents. However, Eagles president Joe Banner has said not to expect the dramatic changes that some fans are calling for.

One of these players would improve our team: T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Jesse Chatman (FB and short yardage), Owen Daniels, and maybe a lineman. Get on it Andy!

Jeff Saturday would be a good upgrade for center. Mike Gofff would also be agood addition. Mike Birk is also a good selection. We need Offnesive lineman.

It would be really nice early Christmas present if the Eagles could pickup either Jacobs or Ward, TJ Houshmandzadeh, and a couple on the O line. Wether they can afford all of that not sure but they absolutely need a big back to go with Westbrook and a big time receiver for McNabb to throw to. Wether McNabb will be able to hit the receiver with a pass will be another story.

TJ please. Jordan Gross is a great LT. toher than that its very dull (since it obvious the giants will resign jacobs). We could still trade for chad ochocinco or larry johnson as they might be shopped around. the defensive free agents are very good (julius peppers, albert hanseworth, nnamdi asomugha)

Lets not fool ourselves, we all know the Eagles wont be getting any of the top free agents available, especially at WR or RB no matter how loud we yell or how much we beg. They know we will fill the seats one way or the other....we are cursed by our own devotion to the Eagles!

Brandon Jacobs/Derrick Ward, Heath Evans, Owen Daniels, Jeff Saturday, Matt Birk would be on my list. TJ would be nice but it won't happen.

Birk and Owen Daniels would be good additions, but I don't see their teams letting them go. Housh would be nice too, but considering he is the only good receiver on this list I think there will be a lot of teams vying for his services, with the Eagles probably not being one. A lot of these players will end up resigning with their current teams anyway.

I don't know how you spell "T.J. Houshmandzadeh" right, but misspell "receivers." That's all the constructive criticism I got today.
