The question is whether he will leave town without a contract. Bell visited with the Steelers on Friday and also has met with the Cardinals and Packers.

The Eagles are moving quickly in an effort to replace Jason Peters, who tore an Achilles while working out last week in Texas. Peters is scheduled to have surgery this week.

Upon arrival, Bell was met at the airport by a camera from 6ABC. Here is some of what Bell has to say:

On arriving: "I'm real excited. Hopefully, we can get something worked out. I'm eager to meet the coaching staff and GM."

On replacing Jason Peters: "He's their franchise left tackle. Those are big shoeos to fill. i'm sure I can handle it, though. I'm not worried about it."

On the irony of replacing Peters with the Eagles after replacing him in Buffalo when Peters was traded to the Eagles: "It's not ironic. Things happen in this league. People get hurt. It's a great opportunity."

On whether he has talked to Peters and what he told him about Philly: "I talked to him a couple of time. He's doing great. I'm not allowed to say, but he's doing all right ... He said it's a great city, brotherly love, man. Great city."

On the challenge of protecting Michael Vick: "I don't think it's a challenge. I think it's my job to keep him standing up straight. That what they pay for me. I have to do that to the best of my abilities."

On what he could bring to the Eagles: "Hopefully, we can bring a championship to this team. I haven't signed with them, but hopefully we can get something worked out and bring a championship here."
