Fokou to injured reserve; Lloyd promoted

The Eagles have placed linebacker Moise Fokou on injured reserve, ending his season.

Fokou injured his ankle during Sunday's loss to New England.

The team has promoted rookie linebacker Greg Lloyd from the practice squad to take him place on the 53-man roster.

Lloyd was a seventh-round draft choice from the University of Connecticut.

He started 23 games at middle linebacker fro UConn, with 177 tackles, three sacks and an interception. He earned second-team All-Big East honors following the 2009 season after starting 10 games and finishing second on the team with a career-high 91 tackles and one sack.

He is the son of former Steelers linebacker Greg Lloyd.

Lioyd is not a bad player, had some injuries in school, or would have gone higher in draft

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! How will we ever make the playoffs this year without Fokou in the lineup?!?!? Lloyd has some big shoes to fill stepping in for a 7th round stud like Fokou.
