This just in from the Associated Press, regarding former Eagles defensive end Jevon Kearse.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Tennessee Titans defensive end Jevon Kearse has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop near the Vanderbilt University campus.

Vanderbilt spokesman Jim Patterson said Kearse was stopped early Sunday morning after campus police reported seeing the SUV that Kearse was driving weaving across the road.

Patterson says Kearse took a field sobriety test, but refused a breathalyzer. He was arrested and charged with DUI and violation of Tennessee’s implied consent law for failing to take the breathalyzer test. Officials said Kearse was released later in the morning.

A call to the Titans was not immediately returned. A spokesman for Kearse’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said Kearse had no comment.

Kearse was released on $1,000 bail and has a court appearance on July 14. Here are more details on the incident from the Tennesseean.

Meanwhile, WTVF-TV reported that Kearse was seen speeding and swerving several times before being pulled over by Nashville police. The officer who pulled the three-time Pro Bowl selection over said Kearse exhibited slurred speech, red eyes, and smelled of alcohol. The officer also reported that Kearse said he only had one Vodka Red Bull.

I guess if you cannot sack the QB, the only way to record any stats is to get the DUI. Nice job Freak. Hire a driver next time.

Maybe if this bum had spent time getting in shape for the football season, instead of drinking and driving, he could have earned some of the money he stole from the Eagles. I can't remember him making even one big play with Eagles in the 4 years he took up space here.
