My early grades for the other three NFC East teams:

Cowboys (B-plus) --After failing to trade up and get Darren McFadden, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones settled for the other Arkansas RB, Felix Jones, who will be a terrific compliment to bruising Marion Barber. They also added one of the draft's top corners, Mike Jenkins, in case the lure of Dallas's strip clubs is too much for Pacman Jones.

Giants (B) --GM Jerry Reese attacked his team's defensive secondary needs by using the final pick in the first round to grab the draft's top safety, Kenny Phillips. Came back in round 2 and grabbed USC corner Terrell Thomas. Mario Manningham was great value in the third round. He slid because of a slow forty time and his score of 6 in the Wonderlic.

Redskins (B-minus) -- Had 3 second-round picks and used them all on pass-catchers -- WRs Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly and TE Fred Davis, which is OK, except haven't they noticed they've got problems on the defensive line and in the secondary that need to be addressed?

Redskins drafted stupidly. Jerry Jones is still playing favorites in Dallas. But Jerry Reese is clearly showing he's out to strengthen his team where they need it. Giants will be competitive for years as long as Reese is in charge.

The Eagles were the only team in their conference to not make the playoffs. So what did the geniuses do? They traded away their first draft pick for future considerations and slid further behind their divisional rivals. Is it arrogance, stupidity or a delusional state that has them seeing this team as basically mediocre?

Exactly what immediate help was there at 19? You guys are stomping your feet throwing temper tantrums over something that wasn't there. Nobody thought the wide receiver crop was good enough for a first round pick, not just the Eagles.

I agree SteveMG. This ww2buff clown is whining about not taking our first round pick THIS year but never gives an idea of what he thought they should have done since he's a genius. They got a player in Jackson that was a 1st round projection and another D-lineman who will play in a rotation with the current guys. What is wrong with that? Take your crying to Angelo Cataldi, he likes to cry about the Eagles too, waaaaaaaaa! Have a nice week.
