New Eagles cornerback Ellis Hobbs did a chat over at ESPN.com today, talking about the Eagles' chances and his departure from New England.

Asked about the Birds' chances of winning it all, Hobbs said, "We're loaded with talent and all we have to do is put it together."

Hobbs said he would like to return kicks as long as he was successful at it, but termed whether he would as the "million-dollar question."

Of teammate Asante Samuel, with whom he also played in New England, Hobbs said: "Everyone portrays it negatively because we're different styles of player, but we're actually good friends."

Hobbs said he liked the environment with the Eagles. "It makes you want to work that much better, because the environment is very comfortable."

As for the Patriots, Hobbs was asked if he had any ill feelings toward the Pats: "Somewhat. I just think as far as PR went, I wasn't put out there like I felt I should have been. As far as the winning and the coaches, no, I didn't have any ill feelings." He did acknowledge that he expected to leave the Patriots, but he did not think it would happen as quickly as it did, with the draft day trade.

Also, to follow up on yesterday's post that generated some conversation about the Eagles and actual dollars, NFL.com Jason La Canfora has now broken the salary up by dollars per win.

The Eagles come in eighth on that list, with 46 wins from 2004 to 2008 at $10.77 million per win.

The Patriots are tops on the list at 63 wins at $8.14 million apiece, followed by Indianapolis also with 63 wins, but at $8.44 million apiece. San Diego and Pittsburgh are the only other two teams at less than $10 million per win.

Oakland is at the bottom with 20 wins at $25.66 each.

Give me the photos and video where Mcnabb was puking all over the field in the Super Bowl, Last time I checked on the alleged drive where this happened he threw a TD to Greg lewis and threw for over 350 yds and 3tds

Hey 'fire'. Your life must have little value. It's June and you are still caught up with 5 seasons ago. From what I have gathered, there are 20+ other eagles that have decided the outcomes of each of our big game losses. Was that Donovan out there flailing as Joe jurevicius tore us up a few years back? Oh wait that was also him lunging at Duce mccallisters shoestrings a few years back wasn't it? Last year he got us the lead against Arizona, and then played on defense and coughed it right up, didn't he? Wow I didn't realize he was playing on both sides of the ball!! Get over it buddy. True he has had some big games where he hasn't pulled a Brady or Montana but he hasn't always had the full team support. He is good enough to win it all. He just needs help. Eli manning ben roethlisberger Trent dilfer. The list of qbs that aren't nearly at the level of dmac but have won is ridiculous. Shut up with your throw up comments we are sick of hearing it!

Like Is aid before give me the photos and the video of Mcnabb puking all over the field like you stated, if he was puking all over the field it would have been on camera and would have been all over the news. Also plenty of athlethes throw up, Pete Sampras has thrown up, Steve Smith threw up and soldiers throwup on the battlefield. Does that mean they are bad athletes or not real people. People get sick and throwup all the time in sports in practice and also some cases die on the field and the court. this is a fact.

Like snowballing Santa, this just won't go away......(and it is amazing that no where are there pictures or film(....(Is this really the "grassy knoll all over again ?) His legacy still does not include a Ring and he needs to do this to complete his resume but until them the "haters" will continue their rant......and Andy has still not supplied him with enough talent.....and Joe, our defacto GM will not pay for any upgraded talent and theat will be their legacies

There is no sense in rubbing peoples noses in Mc5's alleged puke. I don't care if he did or not. If--IF-- he did, he wiped his chin, faded back and threw a touchdown pass. He isn't the best QB of all time.....but he IS the best QB this franchise has seen since Van Brocklin. And there just MIGHT be enough tools to work with this year to help get past the hump.....there just MIGHT.

Hey guys: How about we make a pact. The next time one of these "McNabb puked" clowns comments on one of these stories we just ignore it. Literally. We say nothing and instead just comment on the actual story. I bet they'll eventually just fade away.

Hobbs is coming out with a correction on this statement. When he used the term "loaded" he was actually talking about the food on Andy Reid's plate. He's sorry for any confusion the reference to "loaded" may have caused. "Hey Hobbs, give me another scoop of those mashed potatoes, will you?"

mcnabb + andy reid = ZERO rings in TEN years... we are the only team in the NFC East not to have AT LEAST 3 titles. how many more years of just "coming up short" are we going to take until someone finally tries to get us over that hump, how many chances are these 2 clowns going to be given? another 10 years with no titles?

Enough of the McNabb bashing...most of you morons act like quarterbacks grow on f*cking trees...if that's the case Kolb would be our starter right now and all you idiots would be complaining about why'd we let McNabb go

Considering only one post was about the "topic", let this beast once again set the record straight. Ellis, seriously, how you even got on the national shows stuns me, all I see is you giving up the gw td to Plaxico after Asante dropped the gw pick. U2 need to stop ur "probowl glide rhodes3:16" and get to work. U really are the 4th cb in terms of talent on this roster and i ask the thread to post or rank our cb's. As far as returning kicks, I say that Demps and Maclin are better returners but I'd rather have you do it as they are more valuable

Les BowenLes Bowen has covered the Eagles for the Daily News since 2002. Before that, he spent nearly 13 years covering the Flyers. It took Les only a few seasons after the switch to figure out that there was no penalty box at the Linc, and that the time really wasn't his, despite what Andy Reid kept saying. Les came to Philadelphia and the Daily News from Charlotte in 1983. In the intervening years, he has pretty much lost track of NASCAR, and his accent. He, his wife Barbara, and their two sons live in Haddon Township, New Jersey.

You can now follow Les Bowen on Twitter.

Paul DomowitchPaul Domowitch has been with the Daily News since 1982. He has spent most of his 27 years at the paper covering the Eagles and pro football. For the last 10 years, he’s been a selector for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A native of Wilkes-Barre and a graduate of Wilkes University, Domo came to the Daily News from the Fort Worth (Tx.) Star-Telegram, where he covered some god-awful Texas Ranger baseball teams. His first beat at the Daily News actually wa s boxing, which he covered just long enough to lose two sports coats to blood spatter before moving on to football. Domo and his wife Shelley, a University of Oklahoma grad and very dangerous to be around following a Sooner loss, have been married 29 years and have raised 2 terrific daughters – Allison, 26, a lawyer and graduate of Boston University School of Law; and Amy, 23, who graduated from Clemson and works in marketing and sales for a professional baseball team.
