The nominations for the ESPY awards came out this morning, with Philadelphia represented in several categories.
The Eagles' fantastic come-from-behind victory over the Giants, capped by DeSean Jackson's punt return, is among the nominees for Best Game.
Auburn over Alabama in the Iron Bowl, Butler over top-seed Pittsburgh in the NCAA Tournament and Oklahoma City's 3-overtime epic over Memphis in the NBA playoffs are the other nominees.
Roy Halladay's no-hitter in the playoffs over the Reds is among three choices for Best Moment. The others are Trevor Bayne's win at the Daytona 500 and the compelling story of the Fennville High School basketball team.
Halladay is also nominated for Best MLB Player, along with Jose Bautista, Josh Hamilton, Felix Hernandez and Joey Votto.
Bernard Hopkins heads the list of Best Fighter nomimees, along with Jon "Bones" Jones, Sergio Martinez, Manny Pacquaio and George St. Pierre. The ESPYs combine boxing and MMA into one category.
And Bill O'Neill, from Southhampton, Pa., is among the nominees for Best Bowler, joining Chris Barnes, Jason Belmonte and Mike Koivuneimi.
The ESPYs air July 13 at 9 p.m.

To me it was the best game. that giants game was the best eagles game that i ever witnessed. too bad i was watching it on tv with my girlfriend. smh- ESPN having major meltdown. Lost the stream on the women's soccer game in Germany, and their website has the halftime score at zero-all, while the game is 25 minutes into 2nd half.— Fan74
