The Eagles and Lehigh University announced they have a signed a contract that will keep Eagles training camp at the school during the summer of 2012.

The Eagles have held training camp at Lehigh since 1996.

“I can’t say enough good things about our partnership with Lehigh University,” said Eagles CEO Don Smolenski in a statement. “During the lockout this past offseason, they really worked well with us as we navigated through the uncertainty of the status of training camp. Despite that uncertainty and the accelerated timeline of events, I’m proud to say they provided us with another summer of first class accommodations to not only our team but the thousands of fans who attend practices every single day. We look forward to another successful summer in 2012.”

“We appreciate our partnership with the Eagles, which provides the Lehigh community with national exposure and positive economic impact,” said Joe Sterrett, the dean of athletics at Lehigh. “Having the team here each summer is exciting for local fans, and we look forward welcoming the team back in 2012.”
