Eagles-Falcons: Predictions, key matchups

The Eagles travel to the Georgia Dome to face the Atlanta Falcons in Michael Vick's homecoming at 1 o'clock (Fox).

Les Bowen will have the action for you from the arena, but we kick off Sunday morning, as we usually do, with the Daily News staff picks, key matchups and other tidbits.

Les Bowen: Eagles, 29-22

Ed Barkowitz: Eagles, 24-13

Bill Conlin: Eagles, 34-10

Paul Domowitch: Eagles, 23-20

Marcus Hayes: Falcons, 24-20

Mike Kern: Eagles, 24-20

Vegas Vic: Eagles, 24-21

1. Eagles LT Jason Peters vs. Falcons RDE John Abraham: Peters has been inconsistent and is playing on a bum ankle. Abraham's bull rush could give Peters problems if he can't depend on his ankle. Advantage: Falcons

2. Eagles WLB Akeem Jordan vs. Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez: Jordan has missed the last three games with a knee injury and still is a question mark. Gonzalez is the best pass-catching TE in league history. Advantage: Falcons

3. Eagles WR Jason Avant vs. Falcons nickel CB Brent Grimes: Avant has 17 catches in the last three games. Grimes is a Northeast High grad with good cover skills. Advantage: Eagles
